So funny how I have hardly explored my home country! I would always opt to travel further abroad instead of exploring places around the UK. ⁠
... Maybe that had something to do with the weather. 🥶⁠
Perhaps I just wanted to make maximise my chances for sunshine. 🤣 🌞⁠

Since I've got back, I've been really struggling with a feeling of misplacement. ⁠
⁠
London is my hometown, but I haven't been back for a couple of years (I got 'stuck' in Bali when the pandemic hit). And even before that, London may have been my 'base', but I was travelling so much that it already didn't feel like my 'home'.⁠
⁠
Now I am back for a couple of months to enjoy the end of summer, and I am loving that I get to see my family and friends - I'm just struggling to figure out where I... fit... now. Truth is, I'm feeling extremely out of rhythm!⁠
⁠
I'm even looking in my old closet at my old clothes and wondering "Who even was I?!" and how have I grown so far away from that girl over such a short time?! ⁠
Why on Earth did I buy so many high heels? And wherever did I ever wear them!!!? 🤣 🤷🏻‍♀️⁠

I've grown so much and changed so much thanks to the incredible experiences and people that I have met over the past few years. And hopefully for the better! 🙂⁠
There was nothing wrong the the girl I was 2 years ago, I'm just not her anymore. And it feels weird being here, in her space. ⁠

Has anyone else ever experienced this? ⁠

So... I guess this is my next adventure. I may not be jetting to a new country, exploring lands unknown. Instead I'll be exploring my home country, as a new me. ⁠

The 10 day quarantine was the weirdest state of limbo.⁠ Especially since everyone else was out and about!⁠
Time for me to get out and say hello to my city!⁠

Although, I am super confused with what the mask-wearing rule is here? Everyone seems to be doing something different. 🥴⁠
⁠
Officially, there is no longer a requirement in the UK to wear a face mask. However, they recommend to continue wearing face masks in crowded places and on public transportation.⁠
Basically - use your judgement, don't be silly!⁠
⁠
More and more countries seem to be letting down their guard and taking measures to give people a little more 'normality' this summer.⁠
...But will it just be for the summer? 🤔⁠
Hopefully it lasts, but after last year, and the year before, I'm not getting my hopes up!⁠

I might not be in Bali anymore, but I still found

I might not be in Bali anymore, but I still found a way to be by the seaside!

I know, the Netherlands may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think “beach holiday”, but the town of Scheveningen is actually perfect for European summer!

And you can even surf there?! Whaaat?! Not quite the warm waters of Bali, but it made for the perfect family day out… 🥰

First stop in Europe… AMSTERDAM!

It’s been one hell of a culture shock, returning to Europe after spending 2 years in Asia. But it also feels so good to be slowly making our way “home”.

Actually, I’m half Dutch, so technically I already am home! 🤪

We have a 10 day trip around the north of the Netherlands before we can head to London (this way we avoid the super strict UK quarantine rules).

Excited to catch up with family and enjoy a European summer! ❤️

I mean, this is not the kind of manifesting that we should be focusing on! ⁠

Imagine all we would accomplish if we instead spent our time dreaming of our successes, achievements, desires and triumphs?!⁠

Let's not waste any extra time thinking about them before they actually do. That's no headspace for success.⁠

Since I've got back, I've been really struggling with a feeling of misplacement. ⁠
