There are countless activities to be done here.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b>Nusa Ceningan<\/b> &#8211; the smallest of the three, with a laid-back vibe, perfect for relaxation away from the crowds. Keep in mind that there aren\u2019t as many restaurants and bars here, compared with the other two above. But still, you won\u2019t get bored!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is that <strong>all three are <\/strong><strong>VERY easily accessible<\/strong><strong> from mainland Bali<\/strong> &#8211; no more than 40 minutes by boat. I\u2019d say to pick either Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan as your base and then visit the other two as a day trip using a boat. And following my suggested plan above, let\u2019s say that you want to <strong>make Nusa Lembongan your base for the trip<\/strong>. This works wonderfully, as you can visit Nusa Penida with a short boat ride and you can visit Nusa Ceningan easily as well with a scooter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay, now let\u2019s find out how to get to each one of them from Bali. First of all, you need to know that the most popular departing point to the islands is <b>Sanur Harbour<\/b> in Bali. Basically, once you arrive at the harbour, then the rest is a breeze. The drive to the harbour takes 60-90min from Ubud or Uluwatu, 60min from Canggu and 40min from Seminyak.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bali-to-nusa-lembongan\">BALI TO NUSA LEMBONGAN<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Wondering how to get to Nusa Lembongan from Bali? There are plenty of companies that can take you from Bali to Nusa Lembongan. The most reputable companies are: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scootcruise.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Scoot<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/marlinlembongancruiser.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Marlin<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/rockyfastcruise.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Rocky<\/a>. You can just buy them at the pier. The pier on Nusa Lembongan is called Yellow Bridge and the pier of Nusa Penida is ToyaPakeh Harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Duration:<\/b> 15 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Ticket Price:<\/b> 60,000 IDR each way (4.30 US$)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Schedule:<\/b> from 8AM to 5PM, leaving very often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alternative: <\/strong>Or you can take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.klook.com\/activity\/23020-fast-boat-ticket-sanur-nusa-penida-bali\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">this fast boat to Nusa Penida<\/a> (and the other way around) that you can book in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"nusa-lembongan-to-nusa-ceningan\">NUSA LEMBONGAN TO NUSA CENINGAN<\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong>Nusa Ceningan can only be reached via the other two islands<\/strong>, you cannot go there directly from Bali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most popular route is Nusa Lembongan to Nusa Ceningan. There\u2019s a bridge connecting Nusa L to Nusa C called the \u201cYellow Bridge\u201d (or \u201cThe Bridge of Love\u201d as it has been renamed after its reconstruction in 2017) and you can easily cross it by foot or scooter. Luckily, Nusa Lembongan is small and easy to zip around by motorbike or scooter. A small yellow bridge connects Nusa Lembongan to Nusa Ceningan, so it\u2019s easy to cover both islands in a couple hour\u2019s drive. You can also explore Nusa Lembongan by car if you would prefer, but unfortunately you can only reach Nusa Ceningan by bike as the connecting bridge is not wide enough for cars to pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>All in all, the best idea would be to get around with a scooter.<\/b> I would 100% recommend it! It\u2019s a fun and easy way to explore the island and see the hidden and hard-to-reach places. The roads are much quieter than on mainland Bali and with less traffic it feels much safer too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can rent a scooter in every town and through most hotels. The average price of a scooter rental is around 75,000 IDR (5.30 US$) per day. The easiest option is to rent one from your hotel, if they offer this price or something similar. If not, as you arrive at the harbour there will be people renting scooters for around this price. If you choose to opt for renting a scooter from the pier, remember two things: you can bargain the price and make sure to check the scooter&#8217;s condition before paying!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"915\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/girlaroundtheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/post-line.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22478\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"Wheretoeat\"><\/a>Where to eat on the Nusa Islands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/girlaroundtheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/best-restaurants-in-nusa-islands-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are numerous good places to eat and grab a drink on all three islands, so scroll down to find some of my recommendations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>TIP: <\/b>It may sound surprising, but it\u2019s always a good idea to call ahead, as many places offer a <b>free transport service&nbsp;<\/b>to collect and drop you off at your hotel. Perfect if you want to enjoy a couple of drinks or don\u2019t want to drive your scooter home in the dark!<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where-to-eat-in-nusa-lembongan-island\">WHERE TO EAT IN NUSA LEMBONGAN ISLAND<\/h3>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gingerandjamu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ginger &amp; Jamu<\/a> &#8211; This is a beach side restaurant that serves smoothie bowls, brunch and some good local options too. Great, vibey place to come for breakfast or lunch.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thedecklembongan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Deck<\/a> &#8211; This is a restaurant with a cliffside dining terrace in front of the sea. The restaurant is pricier than other options (I guess because of its great location) but offers free pick-up from your hotel after 5 PM, making it an amazing choice for dinner or drinks during sunset hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kayulembongan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Kayu<\/a> &#8211; A really good option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food here is delicious. Personally, I loved the beef rendang tacos and the seared tuna poke bowl!&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where-to-eat-in-nusa-penida-island\">WHERE TO EAT IN NUSA PENIDA ISLAND<\/h3>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Organica-Fresh-and-Tasty-Food-1225366124264343\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Organica<\/a> &#8211; an amazing place for breakfast or lunch. They have colourful smoothie bowls, as well as fish dishes and some staple Indonesian dishes as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.id\/Restaurant_Review-g14115586-d17596625-Reviews-Dapur_Kue_Hamza-Toyapakeh_Nusa_Penida_Bali.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Dapur Kue Hamzah<\/a> &#8211; for a little bit of traditional food and some of the best nasi campur on the island.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/penidacolada\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Penida Colada Beach Bar<\/a> &#8211; a very good place for cocktails but also some quick bites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where-to-eat-in-nusa-ceningan-island\">WHERE TO EAT IN NUSA CENINGAN ISLAND<\/h3>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.pt\/maps\/place\/Sea+Breeze+Ceningan+pool+Bar+and+Restaurant\/@-8.6992371,115.4265311,14z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x2dd26dc183bdde1d:0xdc3b80ed09288c6d!8m2!3d-8.6985371!4d115.4474201\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sea Breeze Warung<\/a> &#8211; More than a restaurant, Sea Breeze Warung created a space by the sea for people to hang out and socialize, with hammocks, comfy seating, and even some swings. The menu has tons of options, both local and international. Some of the beach clubs and restaurants accept card payment, but it\u2019s better to play it safe!<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"expect-a-higher-price-tag\">EXPECT A HIGHER PRICE TAG.<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Island life comes with a higher price as everything has to be imported from mainland Bali. You can still find cheap warungs, but expect a general rise in prices. It is what it is!<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bring-some-wet-wipes-with-you\">BRING SOME WET WIPES WITH YOU.<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>This advice is especially good if you\u2019re riding a scooter on the islands. The roads can be dusty so it\u2019s good to have these on hand so you don\u2019t look like you belong in the cast of Mad Max in all your photos. For the same reason, it\u2019s also good to carry a mask with you so you can cover your mouth and nose.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bring-a-scarf-too\">BRING A SCARF TOO.<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Or a sarong. Oftentimes, you\u2019ll need them in order to enter various sacred places such as the Pura Goa Giri Putri Cave and it\u2019s better to have them than pay the small fee for nothing. And here\u2019s a golden tip as well: leave a scarf on your scooter\u2019s seat whenever you can.
